To Participate, follow the steps below>>>

  • Join the RCS Clay Q&A Platform. This is essential for participation in soda firings.

  • Be a current WCA Member by May 1st

  • Enter the Raffle by filling out the form below by May 15th

  • If you have won a soda share in a previous raffle, you may enter, but we will select first from those who have not won a share at RCS before.

  • Winners of the Soda Shares are announced on May 20th

  • You must fill the 2 shares (12”x12”x12”) space in the kiln to participate.
    This is a cone 6 soda firing : )
    📍Claybodies with high-iron or other metals, bloat and deform - please do not bring pots or sculpture made with Oregon Brown, Oregon red, Obsidian, Plum Black, etc

  • Shares may not be split with another person. (The double share is equivalent to two clay boxes).

  • Please join the RCS Clay Q&A Platform for scheduling glaze time at RCS, info about our glazes/ kiln, and info about measuring your share. Essential communication about each firing happens on this platform.

  • Winners need to be present to deliver their artwork, wadd their pots, and pick-up their artwork.

  • RCS will not package or ship artwork.

July 24th Soda Firing Timeline:

Win 2 shares in a WCA firing. The shares cannot be split with another person.
One winner needs to fill the full 12x12x12 space.

  • Tuesday 21st 9pm, Last availability to drop off pots

  • Wednesday 22nd, Load 2-5pm (wad squad)

  • Thursday 23rd, Fire and introduce soda

  • Wednesday July 29th, unload 2-4pm (wad squad)

  • Wednesday 29th, Everyone Share & Pick up 4pm

  • If you cannot attend the group pick up and share time, you may pick up, up to one week after the firing. Any remaining works will be tossed on August 5th.
