I will log at the top of the hour here what temperature, gas, damper, and notes pertaining to the firing.

  • 4:00pm - 75ºF Top, 75ºF Bottom KILN START TIME
    South Burner Candling only.

  • 6:00pm - 276ºF Top, 95ºF Bottom South Burner Candling only. Damper at 2”, Air Low

  • 7:00pm - 417ºF Top, 121ºF Bottom South Burner Candling only. Damper at 2”, Air Low

  • 9:00pm - 760ºF Top, 311ºF Bottom South Burner Candling only. Damper at 2”, Air Low

  • 7:00am - 1420ºF Top, 1133ºF Bottom,
    Lit North Burner, Damper at 2.5”, Air Low

  • 8:00am - Both Burners at 2WC, Damper at 2”, Air Low

  • 9:00am - 1595ºF Top, 1408ºF Bottom,, Both Burners at 2WC, Damper at 3”, Air Low-Medium

  • 10:00am - 1700ºF Top, 1619ºF Bottom,, Both Burners at 2.25WC, Damper at 3.5”, Air Low-Medium
    010 down top, 012 down bottom - body reduction started at 9:30am.

  • 11:00am - 1806ºF Top, 1751ºF Bottom, Both Burners at 3WC, Damper at 4”, Air Low-Medium

  • 12:00pm - 1909ºF Top, 1861ºF Bottom, Both Burners at 3WC, Damper at 4.5”, Air Low-Medium
    Cone one down top & bottom, 4 soft on top. (48 degrees difference between top n bottom).

  • 1:00pm - 2006ºF Top, 1980ºF Bottom, Both Burners at 3WC, Damper at 4.5”, Air Low-Medium
    Cone 4 soft on top. (26 degrees difference between top n bottom).

  • 2:00pm - 2072ºF Top, 2049ºF Bottom, Both Burners at 3WC, Damper at 4.5”, Air Low-Medium. (23 degrees difference between top n bottom).

I am hoping to introduce soda around 3:30-3:45pm this afternoon.
