Rat City Studios is facilitating an exhibition at Dubsea Coffee in October of 2024!
“The Community Cup Showcase”
This will be our 7th year putting on the show!! Current and past RCS studio artists, current & past RCC students, current and past RCS & RCC staff, and current and past visiting artists of RCS/RCC please join us in this fun event by adding your cup or cups to the showcase. We want to display the diversity of work happening in the area and of the people working (or who have worked) with RCS & RCC. This exhibition will take place during the whole month of October! This is a yearly event that continues to grow as Dubsea has granted us an October exhibition space for the coming years.
Artist COnsignment Participation Details:
Any type of cup is welcome. The shelving is a grid system.
Each space is 5.5” x 5.5”. Please send cups that will fit in this space.
If your cup does not fit in the 5.5” x 5.5” shelving system, it will not be displayed.
Each participant may submit 1-10 cups.
Drop-off Cups! We are not accepting mail-in cups.
Drop off work onto the labeled ware cart on the RCS kiln pad. A cart will be labeled with a sign that says “Dubsea Cups”

Exhibition Dates >>> Tuesday, October 1st - Thursday, October 31st.
Opening Reception - Saturday, October 5th, 10am-12pm - Come celebrate with us!
Drop-Off & Inventory >>> Final Deadline, Friday, September 20th by 9pm
Participants may begin dropping off cups and submitting inventories starting Tuesday, September 10th.
The FINAL hard deadline to drop off cups and submit your inventory is Friday, September 20th by 9pm.

Read and agree to the complete artist consignment participation details on this webpage and check the agree box in the inventory form below to participate. You must submit your inventory list via the form below to participate.
Pick up unsold cups at RCS >>> Saturday, Nov 2nd - Sunday, Nov 10th.
Pick up unsold cups from RCS kiln pad. If your cups are not picked up by the date requested, we reserve the right to donate them or absorb them into the studio collection.
Artist Payment via Direct Deposit using Melio >>> by Friday, November 15th
Artists will receive payment by direct deposit using Melio.
Payment will hit accounts by Fri, November 15th.

Get your work fired! Don’t wait till the last minute to make and fire your work!
Add the following firing dates to your calendar and get your work fired on time! All work must be on the carts at your respective studio before the designated time to be loaded. Pricing & Inventory information
ALL CUPS MUST BE FOR SALE & Cups must be priced at least $35
Each cup *** MUST INCLUDE *** Two stickers
~ 1st sticker = First Name, Middle Initial, and Last Name
~ 2nd sticker = inventory number & price.
Inventory number must include 3 initials (ex: HHR001, HHR002, etc)
**If you do not have a middle initial, use your first name initial as your middle initial
(ex: Hayley Reed, HHR)
The inventory numbers on your cups and on your inventory sheet must match!
Use stickers intended for pricing work. NO post-it notes taped on, No masking tape, please! Recommended stickers: (Click Here)
They do not have to be these exact stickers, just similar in size and quality. The inventory numbers on your cups and your inventory sheet must match!
If your inventory sheets are not accurate, we will not be able to show your artwork.
If the stickers do not stick well, please use clear tape over them.
(Sales will be split:
Dubsea coffee takes 25%, RCS 15%, Artist receives 60%)
Quality matters:
This is your time to shine! Please inspect your cups carefully for cracks, chips, sharp bits, glaze flaws, stuck-on kiln wash, and poor handle attachment. We will not display cups that arrive with the above issues, and the cups will be packaged for pickup by the artist.

A 40% Commission (25% Dubsea/ 15% RCS) will be taken | 60% to the artist. ***
Sales will be cash and carry - the cup will be taken at the point of sale and cups from the reserve will fill the space.
Deliver your pots in a box ready for car travel (a clay box would be ideal). We need to be able to stack the boxes. Boxes must close / have lids. Please pack your cups so they don’t rattle around/knock into each other during transport. If cups break during transport and it appears they weren’t packed appropriately, the artist will not receive payment for their broken item(s).
***In the event of damage or disappearance of a cup at the venue, the artist will receive 60% of the retail price.
